DeVilbiss Perfume Atomizer - 1940 - Beautiful Faceted Crystal with Closure
Beautiful and elegant DeVilbiss perfume atomizer from 1940, catalog number S1250-5. This bottle is shown in the DeGraaf-Mack DeVilbiss Perfume Bottles book on page 244. The metal spray fittings are bright gold plated and show no wear, pitting or scratching. The gold arm extending to the cord and ball swings up and down - in the down position the contents are sealed - swing up to spray. DeVilbiss called this a "closure" mechanism. The ball and cord are original, but the rubber ball that would go inside the tassled net is missing. The bottle is in top condition, with no chips, cracks or scratches in the glass. It is 7 1/2 inches tall to top of atomizer head.
